Adam Sangster has always been supportive of giving young, passionate trainers an opportunity to thrive in our industry. Before you read below, listen to this https://t.co/iHN2vutarl?amp=1 and you’ll understand why we are supporting an up-and-coming trainer with global experience.
Over the past 12 months we have been following Melbourne Cup winning trainer Liam Howley’s progression from Macedon Lodge to setting up his own training establishment and we couldn’t be more impressed with what we have seen. Liam purchased the Toronado x Alittle Loose colt from Collingrove’s draft at Melbourne Premier in 2020, one of his first purchases as a trainer in his own right and he has been particularly taken with the colt’s progression since that day.
Liam and his team visited Swettenham Stud earlier this year and loved the progeny of both Toronado and Highland Reel. On the back of that, he made a number of purchases at Melbourne Premier by some of his favourite stallions. We’ve got a huge amount of faith in Liam’s training abilities and as such, we have decided to send him a couple of fillies to train on a lease arrangement.
